PAN
AFRICAN SOCIETY OF CARDIOLOGY (PASCAR) CONFERENCE 2011.
Dear Participants.
RE: SECURITY SITUATION IN KAMPALA-UGANDA.
Greetings to all from Speke Resort Munyonyo, Uganda. We hereby
inform all PASCAR 2011 conference participants that the
political unrest that caused some riots in and near Kampala on
Friday 29th April 2011 is now over.
On Saturday 30th
April 2011 the situation was back to normal and since then
everybody has resumed their daily work. Today as I write this
letter in my office, I had no trouble coming to work whatsoever
since there is no more unrest. Everything is back to normal.
In addition, Speke Resort Munyonyo - the PASCAR conference
venue - is located 15-20 minutes drive out of Kampala city and
off Entebbe road, so foreign delegates need not worry since they
don’t have to pass through the city centre from/to the airport.
The conference location is in the safest part of the country;
should there be any problem in the rest of at the time of the
conference though we don’t anticipate any.
This serves to
inform all the participants that Kampala city is now safe and we
don’t expect any unrest.
We all look forward to hosting
you during the PASCAR conference 2011 and ensuring your stay
with us is safe, enjoyable and memorable.
See you soon.
Yours Sincerely, Chris Mwaniki Marketing Manager Speke
